Minecraft Education Edition 2.5 hour Workshop

A new building between the Zürich Opera House and Lake Zürich is being designed featuring an open community space and an inviting rooftop terrace.  Before the professionals bring the architectural project to life, we turn the spotlight to the city’s youngest designers:  our young people from Canton Zürich are warmly invited to design, collaborate, and dream big,

In cooperation and coordination with the Zürich Opera House, Tekmania is offering open Minecraft Education workshops for children ages 10 - 14.  They will have the opportunity to design their own building with the theme ”Old meets New”, with a goal to design a modern structure that connects respectfully and creatively to a historic building, with an open meeting space and an inviting roof terrace.

 

Registration is required to participate, and the most exciting projects will be selected by a professional jury.  Submission deadline for your project:  22. February 2026.

 

Registration fee is CHF 42.--, each participant will be required to bring their own USB memory stick to save their work for submission.  At the end of the workshop, we can either submit the project on your USB stick on your behalf, or you can take it home and submit it directly to the Opernhaus for consideration.  Deadline for project submission is 22. February 2026.
